discussing my recent top surgery revision on january 7, 2008. also captures me peeling back the adhesive patch and revealing my "new" chest for the first time since the revision. also includes general random updates.
i've been wanting to find this documentary, called "no dumb questions" for awhile now, and i finally found it on youtube. it's about three young girls' reaction to their uncle bill's transition to their aunt barbara.
december 19, 2007. one week after my surgery. the moment i had been anticipating for 22 years: the moment i got to wear a t-shirt with a flat chest!
i thought it was an interesting moment to document, as i had forgotten that moment- the fascination with my new chest, and watching myself slowly come to inhabit my new body is interesting, too.
i decided to start this journal exclusively to document my transition through film. i have become somewhat obsessed with documenting my transition; taking a number of courses in multimedia documentary has sparked this interest. a few lj friends have suggested a film-exclusive journal, so here it is.
this is a short documentary of my name change hearing day. i was fortunate enough to have my father and girlfriend present for the day.
